Join us in a perfect half-day experience of wildlife and nature in Bamou National Park, nestled right next to Shiraz, the city of poetry, blossoms, and nightingales. You can see Shiraz in one outlook from the heights of this national park. Although Bamou National Park is surrounded by roads, villages, and cities, it is like a serene, isolated island at the center of urbanism. It harbors an amazing diversity of wildlife which rarely can be seen in any urban area. Bamou National Park embraces a rather high population of wild animals: from wild goats in the heights, urial sheep and rams on the hills, gazelles in plains, wild boars, Persian leopards, and many types of birds. You can join us in this experience while you’re enjoying the neighboring city that enfolds many of the cultural and historical attractions of Iran. This experience is designed for all the people to enjoy an extraordinary day in these wild frontiers with easy trails to hit.

We will hit the road early morning at 7 o’clock to embark on our adventure. It takes about 15 minutes to get to this national park from Shiraz. A minor road takes us to the gates of a ranger post right at the entrance of the park. There is also a wildlife and natural museum in Bamou National Park with the same name.

We will have breakfast in the fields close to the entrance of the park. This National Park extends for 40,000 hectares and we will have a safari within the main fields with the highest population of wildlife for the rest of the day. What’s interesting about the park is its mountainous frontiers that have shaped a circular border. On these heights, you’ll have the chance to see the biodiversity of the park and a lot of wild creatures like gazelles among the plains, and wild boars among the reeds.

Later we will also trek and hike on the heights of the park and raise our binoculars to gaze over the stunning plains. The vegetation in this region has reached its climax. It has dense spinneys and long grass fields. In the spring, it is lush green decorated with the colors and scent of many blossoms. The sceneries of this merry season bewitch the eyes of the beholders. However, winters are mildly yellow; pale, and surprisingly beautiful.

We will walk among the hills and plains, have lunch in a nice spot, listen to the songs the birds are signing for us, and enjoy Mother Nature as she greets us. This National Park is one of the safe havens for the biggest leopards in the world. The endangered species of Persian leopards are luckily safe here in the hands of devoted rangers. Researches have been carried during the last decades to help the rangers in this demanding job and taking a systematic census.

I had an amazing time on this tour! There was a ranger with us on the tour. He was a very nice person leading us into different areas of the park, explaining everything about wildlife and the ecosystems. My exploration in this national park was accompanied by his passionate words telling his stories and memories. It was an exceptional experience. Highly recommended!
