Join us on a two-day journey to the birdwatching paradise of Iran, the greeneries around Miankaleh Lagoon, and enjoy this unique ecosystem. In this tour, we will observe the valuable habitats of waterfowl and migratory birds while enjoying the surrounding nature. This tour is an adventure full of beauties for both nature lovers and birdwatchers. This valuable wetland is home to remarkable species such as common pochard, whooper swan, white-tailed eagle, Dalmatian pelican, white-headed duck, red-breasted goose, bean goose, and smew. Note that being in good physical condition to hike, trek and monitor is essential. Do not forget to bring suitable clothes, shoes, and necessary equipment.

Alborz highlands and Miankaleh habitats
Note that you can join this experience regardless of where you are. Assuming that we will embark on our journey from Tehran, we will move toward the Alborz Mountains. Alborz highlands present incredible biodiversity due to their special climatic conditions and the neighboring Hyrcanian forests. We will search for the Caspian snowcock, Caspian tit, Eastern Goldfinch, Masked Wagtail, and many other Passeriformes while enjoying the precious wonders of Mother Nature. Then, we will move towards our main destination, the Miankaleh peninsula, and drive for about 6 hours. Located on the southern edge of the Caspian Sea, Miankaleh Peninsula is home to remarkable birds. We will visit the area and keep an eye on these unique birds and waterfowl.

Miankaleh Wetland
Our adventure in the Miankaleh wetland continues for the second day of this experience, and we will hopefully track birds such as common pochard, whooper swan, white-tailed eagle, Dalmatian pelican, white-headed duck, red-breasted goose, bean goose, and smew. The value of this ecosystem multiplies regarding the beauty and beautiful sceneries surrounding the area. Imagine enjoying the pleasant taste of Persian culinary while matching the sun sinking into the waters of this wetland. Each year, Miankaleh has the role of a heavenly sanctuary for the migratory birds in Iran.
