There is a treasure here for those who are interested in history and the evolution of human civilization. You can find out about three different ancient eras, starting with the heritage of Elam civilization dating back to about 600-2000 B.C. Your journey through time continues with the unbelievably fascinating necropolis that is the combination of four Achaemenid emperors’ tombs. These tombs are relics of the Achaemenid Empire (330-600 B.C.) delicately carved in high cliffs with impressive reliefs on them. Behind these cliffs stands a weird structure with about 12.5m height with an entrance and no windows. This peculiar structure is called Ka’ba-ye Zartosht, and right at the bottom of it, there’s a long inscription of Kartir dating back to the Sassanid era.
